10.10.2011 Roman coins found in a wooden box

Tanja Hols discovered a closed wooden box in the archives of the historical state library in Passau, southeastern Germany. At first glance, the box looked quite ordinary. When she opened it, she couldn't help but wonder. Inside were gold and silver coins dating back thousands of years.

Archaeologists have discovered toys in Uherské Hradiště that children played with hundreds of years ago. Specifically, clay and glass marbles, small vessels or a miniature piece of a spindle. In the grounds of the monastery at Velehrad, archaeologists found an intact Romanesque mosaic pavement.

30 Sep 2012 Thracian tomb with golden treasure

The golden treasure was discovered by archaeologists in 2012 in Bulgaria. Bracelets with snake heads and a crown with animal motifs were found in a Thracian tomb. The burial site was near the village of Sveštari.
