After Jan Palach and Jan Zajic, he was torch No. 3, but he was different from the previous two. He was not in his student years, and even belonged to the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia. Evžen Plocek burned himself to death on 4 April 1969 in Jihlava at the Plague Column.
