29.2.1920 Czechoslovakia adopted the first Constitution

One hundred years have passed since the adoption of the first Czechoslovak Constitution. It was formally in force until 1948, when the Communists came to power. President Masaryk insisted on greater powers for the head of state. He didn't just want to lay wreaths.

28.2. 1954 Prime Minister Rudofl Beran died

He was an excellent speaker and knew how to win people over. Rudolf Beran worked his way up to Prime Minister. Although he actively supported the union, after the war he was made a traitor and sentenced to 20 years in prison. He died in Leopoldov prison on February 28, 1954.

She was not a well-known noblewoman, not even her likeness has survived. According to historical sources, she tortured and murdered servants.

26.2.1361 King Wenceslas IV of Bohemia is born.

He did not have a happy childhood, his father Charles IV. initiated him into the duties of a ruler from a young age. He traveled abroad with him and worked his way up to the throne. Václav IV was crowned King of Bohemia even as a two-year-old boy, born on 26 February 1361.

25.2.1948 President Beneš accepted the resignation of the ministers

Some historians still refer to it as a fatal mistake that President Edvard Beneš accepted the resignation of ministers at the hands of Klement Gottwald. This happened on 25 February 1948. The Communists came to power.

47 years ago she lost her ring in the US, it was found in Finland

It sounds unbelievable. Sixty-three-year-old Debra McKenna lost her ring 47 years ago in Portland, USA, and a few days ago a metal detectorist found it near a forest in Finland. The jewel was given to the woman by her boyfriend and future husband in high school.

Small, pale and his mouth was always open. This is how historical sources describe Ferdinand I of Habsburg, who was crowned King of Bohemia on 24 February 1527. He promised to fill the half-empty treasury.

23.2. 1943 speech K. H. Frank in Lucerna

Increased labour requirements, total deployment in the Reich and the liquidation of production not relevant to the war. This followed a speech by the State Secretary of the Reich Protector's Office, K. H. Frank, which he delivered on 23 February 1943 in the Lucerna in Prague.

22.2.1759 - "Napoleon's" General Lecourbe is born

In French history he scored several major victories. Eventually he offered his services to Napoleon himself, with whom he was not on good terms. General Claude-Jacques Lecourbe was born on 22 February 1759.

Roman ring with snake heads

An unusual-looking ring has been discovered by a metal detectorist in Buckinghamshire, south-east England. The jewel has two snake heads touching each other. It has already been declared a treasure by the coroner, although it is bent in various ways and no longer looks like a ring.
