Henry of Carinthia was judged by many as a weak ruler. He was King of Bohemia for four years. He was crowned for the second time in mid-August 1307. He was eventually succeeded on the throne by John of Luxembourg.

54 Spitfires of the Czechoslovak Fighter Wing landed at Ruzyně Airport in August 1945. They returned from their service in Great Britain. They were welcomed by thousands of people, not only from the capital.

The Czech Companion was formed in August 1914, its base consisted of Czechs, citizens of Austria-Hungary who worked in Russia, and Czech settlers, especially from Volhynia and the Caucasus.By the end of 1915, 2,225 volunteers had joined this "unit".

John of Luxembourg became King of Bohemia quite easily. Shortly after his accession, however, he had to make concessions. However, he prospered beyond the borders.

It represented the first major conflict between the Habsburgs and the Ottoman Empire. Prince Eugene of Savoy won. He was helped by artillery support from the Petrovaradin fortress, but also by a timely counterattack by the cavalry.
