The mask of Pharaoh Tutankhamun was damaged by Cairo museum staff seven years ago. It happened during preparations for the exhibition, when they were cleaning the mask and broke off the beard. They then decided to glue together one of the most famous monuments of ancient Egypt, but with inappropriate glue.

The coins together with the sacrifice of a cock were discovered three years ago under the floor of Meder's house in Žatec by archaeologist Vojtěch Peksa. The owner probably deposited the treasure sometime in the middle of the seventeenth century. The sacrifice was probably meant to protect the house in question.

A double aureus from the joint reign of Emperor Volusian and his father Trebonianus Gallus was discovered in Kaposvár, Hungary. Their reign lasted less than two years, so coins of this period are very rare. Volusian gold coins are among the rarest, double gold coins are extremely rare. This is the first such find in Hungary.

Silver coins minted during the reign of the emperors Julius Caesar and Augustus were discovered by archaeologists in the Hradec Králové region. They were placed in the ground in a textile or leather bag. A total of 103 coins were probably hidden by an inhabitant of a Germanic settlement.

Vojtěch Václavík discovered a rare bronze sword on a forest path near the village of Újezd. He preserved it in an exemplary manner and handed it over. He was originally supposed to receive a reward of two thousand crowns, but the regional authority increased it to ten thousand crowns.
