Three detectorists discover a rare hoard of Celtic gold staters - the first in Wales

The coins were found scattered in a field at Llangoed on the Isle of Anglesey between July 2021 and March 2022 by detectorists Lloyd Roberts, Peter Cockton and Tim Watson. These are the first Iron Age gold coins discovered in Wales. This makes it one of the most important discoveries of national significance.

After this year's massive earthquakes in southern Turkey, archaeologists discovered a 3,800-year-old clay tablet with a Bronze Age cuneiform script during rescue work at Tell Atchana. The unique tablet, inscribed in Akkadian, represents a contract for the purchase of the ancient city of Alalakh by the ruler of the time.

Bronze Age arrow 'speaks' 150 years after discovery: it came from outer space

An international team of experts has discovered that a Late Bronze Age arrowhead in the collections of the Bern History Museum was made of meteoritic iron. It was discovered during research between 1873 and 1874, while the other arrowheads found at the site were bronze. It has a triangular blade with a short tang. It weighs 2.9 grams and has an overall length of 39.3 mm.

An artfully crafted necklace made of thousands of beads from a child's grave in the Neolithic village of Ba'ja in southern Jordan has been reassembled into its original shape five years after its discovery. It is the most elaborate ornament ever found at a Neolithic site and contains the oldest known amber beads ever found.

How to use a metal detector Fisher F22

Fisher The F22 is currently sold in two versions. The basic one with a "droplet" concentric coil and an improved version that uses the 2D probe you know from the F75. The only difference is the range, which is higher with the 2D probe, so there is a slight increase in resistance in heavily mineralized soils, which is again related to the 2D coil.
