Father of the Year 2026

Thanks to Minelab and their Father’s Daycampaign this year, Petr and I came up with an idea. As Petr is currently on holiday with his children – and given his wife’s heavy workload – we’ve come up with a summer photography ‘competition’ for everyone, acting as a team of our own.

Throughout the summer, you can send us photos of you and your children searching together with metal detectors to [email protected]. We’ll reward every entry with a gift from Minelab. And as part of this year’s Master Detectorist 2026 competition, we’ll announce a winner who can look forward to a lovely prize in the form of a Minelab detector (let us surprise you as to what it will be). From every entry submitted, we’ll select the best or most appealing photograph and publish it here in this post, along with any comments you send with the photos. Ideally, something funny.😀
