Master Seeker 2026 – 29 August 2026

We would like to invite everyone on 29 August 2026 from 9.00 am to the SC Braník grounds in Braník, where this year’s ‘Mistr Hledač 2026’ metal detector search competition will take place. We will have four competition areas available, and the event will be organised for 128 competitors in the main category and 32 in the under-15s category.

As well as the competition itself, you can look forward to a demonstration of a range of metal detectors. And, as is the tradition at LP, there will be a charity raffle taking place after the competition has finished. As with every ‘Mistr Hledač’ event, you’ll need to register for the competition in good time. We’d ask everyone to register only if you’re absolutely certain you want to take part. Refreshments will be available on site, and let’s hope the weather is on our side so we can enjoy a brilliant competition. :)

Thanks to the tremendous support from the metal detector manufacturers we represent in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, you can look forward to some fantastic prizes, and we can already promise that the first prize in the main competition will be a Manticore-Minelab. There will also be a host of other fantastic prizes waiting for you in the charity raffle. We’ll be adding all the other prizes and details by the end of July, as soon as the manufacturers confirm them.

Juniors

Race description

For those who haven’t taken part in our previous events, I’ll try to briefly describe how the race works. There are 10 targets hidden within a square measuring half the size of a volleyball court. Your task is to be quicker than your opponent on the other side. The first person to find 5 targets progresses to the next round in a classic tournament bracket. As we’ve already had two races under our belts, I can tell you, it’s a real thrill! 😊

What should you bring with you?

The forecast is looking very good so far. So hopefully everything will go to plan and it’ll be a brilliant event. Do bring some ‘beach’ shoes with you, or you can race barefoot – which, incidentally, is the absolute best experience in that lovely sand we have there.

All you’ll need for the search is a metal detector; there’s no need for any digging tools, as all targets will be within 5 cm, so your hands and feet will be more than enough.

As it’s set to be really sunny, we’d love to see as many people as possible in their beach outfits. Let’s just make the most of this last summer weekend. 😊

Programme

9:00–10:00 am: On-site registration for competitors
10:00 am–3:00 pm: Competitions in thedesignated squares
3:05 pm – announcement of the winners in both categories
15:20 – charity raffle with lots of great prizes (as always, the proceeds will be donated to the antenatal centre at Bulovka Hospital)

What’s on offer

The restaurant will be open all day on Saturday, where you’ll also be able to have lunch. The usual chilled drinks will, of course, be available.

On site, on the fourth pitch, we’ll be holding demonstrations of metal detectors and, after the competitions, we’ll also be offering a taster session for anyone who’d like an explanation of the detectors we make at LP.

Footnote: Last year we tried out racing in squares at two events, so this year we’re ready to organise a major event. On 29 August, we’ll meet at the SC Braník grounds, where we’ll have lots of fun together on the ‘sand squares’. We’re planning for this event to become a permanent fixture of LP, though next year it will take place in the spring (late May). The reason is that from 3 to 5 September 2027, we’re returning to Brandlín! We’ve sorted out both the mill with Mr Pěchota and the land. So next year, there’ll be a spring event at SC Braník and an autumn one at Brandlín.

Referee T-shirts

As with every competition, this year’s referees will be wearing branded T-shirts. If you’d like one as a souvenir of this year’s event, you can order it at [email protected]. The price is 350 CZK including VAT, regardless of size. Orders must be placed by 10 August. 

You’ll then be able to collect your T-shirts at the event.
