Multi IQ - multi-frequency technology
Multi-IQ technology is an advanced system that combines multiple frequencies for metal detection at one time. This revolutionary approach allows the detector to scan different depths and materials simultaneously, improving the detection of a wide range of objects, from small coins to larger metal objects. Multi-IQ increases sensitivity to small targets and minimizes the effect of soil mineralization. Working with this technology allows amateur prospectors to achieve more accurate results and reduce the risk of missing valuable finds.
Multi-IQ technology, developed by Minelab, uses simultaneous detection at multiple frequencies ranging from 5 kHz to 40 kHz. Lower frequencies, such as 5 kHz, are ideal for detecting larger and deeper objects, while higher frequencies, such as 40 kHz, are suitable for small targets such as coins and jewellery. This technology allows the detectors to optimise performance in different soil types and environments, increasing the accuracy and efficiency of the search even in challenging conditions.
Multi IQ technology has literally revolutionized the industry. Several articles on LP are dedicated to it.
